Normally not, it never happened to me, you can belive that I've already downloaded masses of cursors :-D
But I'm sure that it eventually can happen if you don't have a firewall (but I think you have and even if not, this site is kind of save)

animating specs always is hard cause you cant draw the full size sword then, cause of the limited size of a cursor on windows :/

if you download them separately, you wont get zip files but .cur file. if you download the whole set, you'll get one zip file AND a data type that allows you to change into the whole set with simply 2 clics IF you downloaded rw change cursor
