I have created a cur file using Realworld cursor editor but when i put it on my server and add the css to my page it doesnt work.Any idea why or what i have done wrong?
I have checked your site http://www.the-wicked-shit.com/guttermind%202.htm and the cursor shows in Internet Explorer.
No other browsers seem to support cutom cursors at this time.
Sorry, maybe I wasnt clear. The lightning cursor that is on my site is not the one that i made using Realworld editor, that is a cursor that I got from a MySpace help site. The cursor that I made using realword is currently working on my computer in windows,my problem is when I host it on my server and add it to my page using css it does nothing.I have even swapped the name of the cur file to see if it was the code that i messed up and it worked fine with all the other cursors that i found but not the one I made in Realworld.I will add a link this time to the .cur file in question so that you can right click and save target as and you can see what I mean when you have it.

Ok,it seems that links are inactive in here but theres the link anyway.
checked the given url and the length of the file is 0 - probably a problem with uploaded file... (or bad server config)
Ok,I thought that had sorted it at first but unfortunately not.

I did a few experiments and indeed that cursor does not work. Right now I think that there is a maximum file size limit for cursors in IE. If I convert the format from 24bits to 8bits (there is no loss in quality, because your cursor does not use that many colors anyway), it works fine. It also works fine if I delete some frames. I am going to dig deeper into this matter in the next weeks and create a tutorial with a list of things to avoid.
Until then I recommend to convert the cursor to 8 bits - go to "Cursor" menu and click "Change format" - then click the 8 bits radio button and OK.
Thank you very much,I havent got time to try it right now so ill give it a try tomorrow.Thanks.
I can't wait to see these icons!
