I have noticed that all the programs only detect Truetype fonts and not Opentype fonts. A lot of the good fonts are Opentype and it would be great to add support for them ASAP.
I have to use Adobe Fireworks and port the text i want over to Paint.COM to get the desired effect.
Are you sure about that? Could it be that the extra fonts in Fireworks are placed in a folder installed by Fireworks?
Installing the fonts are standard Windows fonts could make them available in Paint.
Fireworks wasn't working so i used MS Paint to do it. MS Paint detected the opentype fonts i had explicitly placed in the fonts folder in the control panel. And it is true that Fireworks fonts are installed in an alternate directory.
I did a couple of tests and it seems that some fonts are not displayed in the selection box - it will be fixed in future versions.
Thank you very much.
