John 1:1 says that the Word is God. Verse 14 says that the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, this means that Jesus is the Word and He is God for he became flesh and lived among us as the Word did. I believe Jesus is the Word. Jesus is the son of God and as verse 18 says, Jesus is God.
