Copyrights

Published by on October 15th 2012.

Just a friendly reminder that unless you are sure the image resides within the public domain you probably should not use it. Many artists frown on the use of others work and it is illegal to use a copy written image without a license or the creator's permission.

In addition, many images may require attribution. It is also not appropriate to use a copy written image without permission and place the work within the Public Domain. If the original artist did not intend for their work to be used in such a manner they may prosecute and seek damages for your infringement on their rights.

Beware if you use images that you have not created. Many do prosecute for copyright infringement.

Let's keep RW Graphics safe for all who use the website. The RW creator could be open to prosecution because of your illegal use of a copy written image.

icon-image/7488-32x32x32.png image Offering a copy written work for free, placing it within the public domain, when it was not yours to do so with in the first place is still stealing.

If I go to my neighbor's home and give away his television, furniture, clothes, he most likely will not be too happy with me. He would call the police and have me arrested for theft of his personal property even though I gave it away for free and made no profit from the act. icon-image/6387-32x32x32.png image

Would you not do the same if someone walked into your home and started giving away your belongings without your permission?
