Help on making cursors - RealWorld forums

Can someone give me some tips on how to make really good ones? I have made a few sets, but they all look like rubbish. I need a few pointers on how i can make them better, and just plain make them. Thanks!

This is not an easy question. There is a lot of ways how to make good cursors. In general, you should look at the best cursors in the gallery and try to draw something similar.

You can start by watching the water drop tutorial. It demonstrates how to use the basic drawing tools, layers and frames.

Before you start drawing a cursor on the computer, you should think about it and try drawing it on a paper. Make a plan. It will not always work, but sometimes it will.

When you get better and the tools in the cursor editor are no longer good enough for you, get RWPaint and try drawing the cursors there (possibly using vector layers), then export them as png and convert them to cursors afterward.
