Recently, whenever I try to save a cursor I've made or edited, using "File-->Export as Animation" to save it as a .ani instead of a .rcu, Real World Cursor Editor just spits the nondescriptive error "Error in loading dll" at me.
I tried running the installer and telling it to repair. No luck.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing. No luck.
I am running windows 8.1
Can anyone help?
if you want to save as .ani, do not use Export as animation, use Save as... and select Animated cursor file type
Ah, I will do that. That begs the question though, what is "Export as Animation" for? And how do I fix this error if I ever want to use it for what it was made for?
It is for exporting your cursor to an animated image format like GIF. That transformation is not trivial, because the cursor hot spot may be different on different frames. The error there is quite strange, but if you run some other command, for example Transparency in the Image menu, at least once before you attempt to export, it should work fine. You may cancel it, just clicking on it is fine.
That worked. Thanks.
