What os are you running? and youre not supposed to open the .cur file, you have to load it in the cursro window

When I try to open a cursor on the software, it gives me an error: it failed to execute the task. The cursor I was trying to open might have been bigger than 36 by 36, but this shouldn't create an error. Any help please?
