I created a jpeg and modified it thorugh Realworld Paint. Saved it. Opened RWP and opened the jpeg. It is solid black. How do I get it back to the original? I can open it in any other program and it is not solid black.
So you are saying the image works in other application, but if you open it it RW Paint, it looks black. I have no idea why it should behave like this. Could you send me the problematic image to info@rw-designer.com ?
Seems like the color profile in the file was not matching the color space of the actual data and Paint.COM stopped reading the file due to this.
A fix is available here: RWImageCodecJPEG.dll
Overwrite the original file in the installation folder with this one and it should be fine.
Should everyone do this?
That is not needed. The problem only occurs under very rare conditions.
