Windows 11 rant - RealWorld forums

I have been using windows ever since I was 3 years old and got good at it at 5 years old. At the time, I was using windows xp. Later on, I discover newer versions of windows all the way up to windows 10 in 2015. I simply loved Windows 10, as it's one of my favorite OS of the time.

Later on, I found out about a windows 11 concept through a theme in 2019 and couldn't install it at school due to restrictions with the admin. Then in 2021 I found out that windows 11 was real! I tried it and it was alright. I eventually grew into the OS for some time.

When I got my first desktop PC in May 2023 [with windows 10], I just realized how stupid Microsoft is with windows 11. They're beggars and they want the consumers to think that the newest is the best. Here I lay down the list of things Microsoft has done wrong with Windows 11 and their user base:

• bloat: they love to bundle software into having hopes that the consumer would enjoy them, but in the end, they just take up space and they even bundle the worst antivirus that ends up on every install and reinstall: McAfee. Get rid of the apps that have better alternatives such as Maps and Mail.
• adware: yes! Microsoft has been rolling out ads to people in an attempt to subscribe to OneDrive and switch to windows 11 from 10 (and yes, it will still beg you, even if your computer can't run it). They use RUXIM, which stands for reusable user experience interface manager. You can simply stop this from happening by running the following script:

• discontinuation of windows 10: this is doomsday for any windows 11 haters: October 2025. If you plan on using old windows, use 0patch or a Linux machine with a windows VM! I love windows 10 more than windows 11.
• buggy updates: microsoft does update windows 11, but rather in a clunky way in my opinion. It can sometimes brick your computer and it happened once on my laptop. They also don't fix the old issues that arise from the old versions of windows including the old apps and explorer.exe bugs.
• AI: AI is taking over the world and windows laptops will have copilot and recall included, and you will not be able to remove them that easily! If you don't intend on using AI, use Windows 10 or Linux. recall even may take as much as 50GB just on a clean install, and can track everything you do.
• windows feedback: FUCKING. NON. EXISTENT. They never addressed my issue with the taskbar bug and replaced my issue with a non-meaningful issue that just says we can't reproduce this issue. They never address anything at all. Same thing with Microsoft Community, which will always give you the same procedures, then when nothing works, the representatives go dormant and never respond, and may even lock your post.
• snapdragon elite x processor: we don't even need this as games refuse to run on this chip without a proper GPU like Nvidia and AMD. My computer runs great with Nvidia RTX 2060 super and Intel core i5.

There's also a official debloated with very long support Windows 10 edition called LTSC/LTSB I use it and I do really like it so much, I wish I could make it look like 7 because Windows 10 looks horrible

Fuck Win11, if it weren't Win11 as microsoft literally years ago stated that it would be the last windows, then most likely we would still have Win7, Win8 and Win10
