Not quite a cursor... but still, an in-game asset.
This was likely modeled after compact disks,
just like the polichrome MacOS spinners
(well, those are shaped after an older spinner
from a specific kind of disk, but you get the idea.
Also, I just got a brief existential crysis
concerning the spelling of disk/c...
aaah, silly regionalisms).
