The invaders' sprites are based on
jellyfish, crabs, & squids...
is the "animal" tag acceptable?
And I messed up the crosshair, I think...
FIXED!
This one is for our aquired uncle,
for our cousin, for our brother,
and well... for anyone, really!
if you're on Windows 10 or 11,
I recommend typing "size" in the start bar,
"Change Mouse Pointer Size", & set the slider
to 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, or 15.
If you're on an older Windows system,
you can tinker with CursorBaseSize in the registry editor.
I'll detail what's going on here & there.
First & foremost, I decided stick with the patterns
from the New Age mode in Space Invaders : Revolution,
this for the sake of visibility (note the darker silhouettes).
Of course, these don't rate proper cursors
as far as I know (maybe a caret for your high-score?),
so I had to get creative.
Colours picked from Space Invaders: Revolution (duh).
Normal : A mildly cursed(blursed?) 45° oriented cannon;
Help : The Revolution New Age craft, with
SUPPORT power-up "wingmen", disposed as per 32x canvas limits;
WiB & wait : the classic cannon(+ silhouette, as seen
in wingmen & Revolution's Taj Mahal stage foe),
coupled with the bunker (always in the New Age mode);
Precision : A single frame of the crosshair
in Space Invaders Frenzy(I can't rip that ani),
given the Revolution New Age treatment;
I-beam: classic Y-inverting squid-invader, but
with an I, & given treatment;
Unavailable : the classic destroyed cannon animation,
without silhouette. Also a "NO" taken from the
New Age mode "Mission failed" message;
Vertical : trio of invader pellets, two arrangements;
Horizontal : two close crab invaders, walking side-to-side;
Diagonals : sprite borrowed from the SNES Space Invaders' title screen,
with Revolution New Age colours, arranged according
to two different instances of cabinet art.
I was libertine with the dark gray&red one;
Link select : WiB&wait, without the bunker.
Credit where due.
Release serie 1 BIS!
What changed from the original release :
-Removed stray pixels on WiB & wait;
-Added an extra, 45° WiB;
-Adjusted the hotspots on half the forsaken set.
