*ahem*

It was on the 10th day of October, 10;00 p.m. ...
I looked, tired, into a copy of the game
seeking the pretty, new arrow from the History Edition,
fully aware of the sleep hours challenged in such a venture.
In spite of my fears of a harder rip, after
a short & easy ResourseHack, fate rewarded us
with a dignified sestet of cursors to call Annonian.

Relentless nocturnal fidgeting using
all of the resources at our command
soon awarded me with a few downloads,
& a quietly growing number.

Yawns & hardships vilified this
magnificent new set's description,
creating a bore of tedious, bland expo.

Until the minute more productive peeps
from the nearby sets read my clumsiness & idiocy,
& became stiffed with decency.

Deserved reviews of few stars
burnt themselves indelibly into the memory
of our Vlasta's server.

As, in the end, there was nothing more worth
ripping there, we bundled more rips,
& made coordination agreements which led
our Collector & TH to a renewed set.

Yawns & hardship soon returned to our essay.
Now that I've gotten up, my netizen,
I fetch myself THE cup of coffee.
Do as I've done, & seek new rips as I did,
just don't go to bed after 11;00 p.m. .

Best.Description.Ever.

I'd like to note that the anonymous b&w arrow
also appears in the main menu from the sequel, Anno1503.
If the move cursors I improvised for the 1503 set
don't convince you, you may still use
the B&W pan/scroll-all from the map editor
(the bullet with four wedges, yes).

I did, mention 'Anno 1503'... well, as you may guess
(or have known already), Anno 1603 was its predecessor,
& the very first game in the entire franchise.
Initially conceived all the way back in 1996,
Developed by Max Design for Windows systems
in the Austrian town of *checks* Schladming,
it was released throught Europe in 1998 by Max Design
& a couple years later also jnn north America by GT Interactive
with the title slightly altered into 1602 A.D. .
According to a few sources, this humble managerial
city-builder game with minor strategy elements
had boomed throught the Germanosphere, whence
it dominated the market for the following years,
going as far as out-selling Starcraft
(I assume still within the Germanosphere,
but I'm known to make mistakes).

In 2020, Ubisoft unleashed the the History Collection,
a bundle containing every single PC title from the franchise,
with various quality-of-life technical alterations
you can likely look up yourself.

My attention, however,
was focused seized by that snazzy,
new bronze-like arrow in the patched re-release
of the original Anno1602...
so I took THAT, & the others.

Then realized I could, indeed, make edits...xÞ

Release serie 2.
What's new in serie 2 :
-Temptative DIAGONALS! Both History Edition & classic (might constitute a SFDP*) ;
-Scroll-up-only duo for whoever the heck plays Win9x Freecell, I guess...
-Improv.hourglass, history edition busy & WiB cursors ;
-Help(Hist.Ed.) ;
-Dot cursors(Hist.Ed.) for whoever uses a tablet (incl. WiB & help);
-Txt.selection I-beam(Hist.Ed.);
-An alternate precision select(Hist.Ed.style cross)
-Context menu(Hist.Ed.).

Crediting coming soon,

but you can have the full credits here :

I DIDN'T MAKE THESE, THE DEVS DID

To-do :
-Do as TH asked
-Make up to Nibbler
-Figure out the link select part...although you could use those dual downward wedges, or the alt.select pointers.

Lol this is awful :-D
Then again, game devs make
game cursors, not system ones,
so... yep, we get what we get.

Might've just gotten an extra idea
for potential WiB&busy...
plus cursed Hist.Ed. diagonals xÞ

The set is split in half, with
classic cursors & the new ones
from the History Edition,
are the metal, simple, & colour tags acceptable,
given they're unfit for the other half??

HEY RIDDLER!

:-D

If you're reading this,
could you please give
the Army Men RTS set a lower rating?

Oh, & I didn't make it.

§

...I forgot to take my coffee, silly me...

There were no timepieces or spinners,
so I re-used the dot from map-maker's
isle-mover cursor, made trios for the ellipsis,
& ended up with Xerox Alto-like working-in-background...
GREAT!

Hm... diagonals are gonna remain an issue, I fear...
Maybe I should just commid SFDP*, rip the buy/sell markers,
& use those for diagonal resize.

*SFPD : Step From Developer Practice.
Refers to material that deviates from
patterns laid by the developers.

Come on, may I please
have a 2-star rating on this one? :-D

5 out of 5 stars.

Very antique. This is awesome.

Aw, come on Riddler!
Sure you'd know better than
giving 5 stars to this
diagonal-lacking,
hastily ripped&edited slop?
Come on, give me more reasonable ratings!

Oh wait,
afraid I didn't elaborate enough
in the description...
let me log i-actually I'm almost home, later.

Aaand here comes an errand, might as well log in

:-)nice

Nah, not quite, fellow anon xÞ
It's missing the diagonal resize,
a duo of fairly essential pointers mind you ~

THE DIAG°NALS ARE C°MING!
(with a few others...)

...a "'few'" others...
well, guess it's a decent set now!
Then again, I kinda wonder if I ought separate
the History edition pointers from the classic ones...

...maybe I should separate the plain,
classic pointers from the more pompous
History Edition ones...
